Japan Benex Corp has started operation of a solar power plant with an output of about 1MW by renting the roof of a logistics base in Japan.

Japan Benex installed 4,454 solar panels (total output: about 1,158kW) on the roof measuring 14,554m2. The plant is expected to generate about 1,200,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 330 households, per year.

Japan Benex provided EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services.

The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of Yingli Green Energy Holding Co Ltd and Meidensha Corp, respectively.
