Solar-powered public Wi-Fi station installed in Nagano

Nihon Dengyo Kosaku Co Ltd and C-Tech Corp have installed the WiFi Station for Sightseeing/Disaster Prevention, which is powered only by solar electricity, in a national park in Otari-mura, Kitaazumi-gun, Nagano Prefecture.

According to the companies, it is Japan’s first public wireless LAN hotspot that operates only with solar electricity and a rechargeable battery.

The Wi-Fi Station is equipped with a long-range wireless LAN system developed by Nihon Dengyo Kosaku and features a small size and low power consumption.
