Yamabishi Corp has introduced a lithium-ion (Li-ion) storage battery system for self-consumption at a new building of East Japan Railway Company’s (JR East) Oga Station in Oga City, Akita Prefecture.

The system works in conjunction with a wind power generation system.

The Li-ion storage battery system can transmit 30kW of electricity to a power grid and is equipped with a 48.3kWh battery. It was installed at the station together with nine wind turbines (output: 4.9kW each).
