An Electric Van Crafted Together From a 1964 Volkswagen Van

Zelectric Motors has made quite a name for itself by taking classic Volkswagen Beetle cars and adding electric powertrains to them, and they’ve now taken this expertise and innovatively leveraged it to create a full-fledged electric van.

This van is essentially a 1964 Volkswagen Type 2. It is equipped with everything from a split windshield to a sunroof and door. The vehicle is equipped with lithium batteries, situated right beneath the middle bench, that can be charged via a handy 240-volt outlet. The vehicle can attain a top speed somewhere between 130 and 160 km/h.

Zelectric Motors’ electric van is proof that classic automotive design, which many people have a lasting fondness for, can be effectively allied with the latest eco-friendly driving technology.
